Nida’s RF Communications Program pairs the Model 130ST trainer with the Model 4444 card set to teach AM, FM, and NBFM receiver/transceiver theory, troubleshooting, and repair—including RF spectrum, modulation, heterodyning, PLL tuning, oscillators, AGC, and antennas.
Nida Corporation offers advanced programs in Signal Processing, RF Communications, Telecommunications, and Microwave. All of these programs require the Nida Model 130ST Trainer and a prerequisite understanding of basic electronics, test equipment, and simple troubleshooting skills.
The RF Communications experiment card set is designed for use with the Model 130ST trainer. It teaches the theory of operation, troubleshooting, and repair of standard AM/FM broadcast-band receivers and NBFM communications transceivers. Students cover basic system composition, the RF spectrum, atmospheric effects on radio waves, heterodyning, modulation techniques, AF/RF and RF/AF conversion, phase-locked loop and manual tuning, AGC, crystal and voltage-controlled oscillators, and antenna theory.
