Automotive Electronics Training System

The Automotive Electronics experiment card sets are designed for use with the Model 130ST trainer (also listed for the Model 110E). Courseware teaches electricity and electronics from an automotive perspective. Experiments and troubleshooting are performed on circuit cards that emulate automotive circuits. Topics such as Ohm’s Law and series and parallel circuits use automotive examples and values found in actual vehicle circuitry.

The Model 1433 CAN Bus card set introduces CAN Bus familiarization, power distribution, and CAN Bus engine, transmission, lighting-security, and ABS/ESC/TC functions. Students learn how a CAN Bus system works, verify a working bus, and practice troubleshooting against 26 inserted faults. The CAN Bus set is designed to complement the Model 1431 Automotive card set.

Trailer Wiring covers common trailer-wiring problems, the troubleshooting process, and the test instruments used, with a hands-on experiment to reinforce the theory. Car Audio covers system components and their functions, design and wiring practices, and a hands-on installation that includes measuring wire and connecting devices correctly.

The Automotive Electronics experiment card sets are designed for use with Nida Model 130ST Trainer. The Nida Model 1433 CAN Bus experiment card set is designed for use with the Nida Model 130ST training console. The student is introduced to CAN Bus familiarization, Power Distribution, CAN Bus Engine, Transmission, Lighting-Security and CAN Bus ABS/ESC/TC. Students will be taught the basics of how a CAN Bus system works. Students will verify a functional working CAN Bus system. The system offers 26 faults to test the student’s ability to perform troubleshooting procedures. The CAN Bus system was designed to complement the 1431 Automotive Card set. The courseware teaches electricity and electronics from an automotive perspective. Experiments and troubleshooting tasks are performed on circuit cards that emulate automotive circuits. Traditional subjects such as Ohm’s Law, Series Circuits and Parallel Circuits are presented using examples from automotive systems and calculations that are based on actual values found in automotive circuitry.

The Trailer Wiring courseware introduces the student to similar problems associated with trailer wiring and the process of troubleshooting. The student is also introduced to the types of test instruments used for troubleshooting. A hands-on experiment is provided to reinforce the skills learned in theory.

The Car Audio courseware introduces the student to the components associated with car audio systems and describes their function. The steps in designing and the proper way to wire the audio system are discussed. A hands-on experiment is provided installing an audio system measuring the proper amounts of wire and connecting the devices together correctly.
