It includes all factory systems such as common-rail fuel injection, variable geometry turbocharger, EGR, DOC, DPF, and SCR for comprehensive study of Tier 4F compliance and aftertreatment operation. This robust, mobile trainer supports practical skill-building in engine operation, sensor monitoring, fault diagnosis, and maintenance using real-world components in a safe classroom environment.

The Diesel Engine Performance Training System (CAT C4.4, Tier 4F) (HV-950-C4.4-TIER4_035153) features a new OEM Caterpillar C4.4 Tier 4F diesel engine equipped with a post-treatment system. This comprehensive trainer enables demonstration of major engine systems to groups of students without the access limitations of a complete vehicle. Engine systems respond to inserted faults with real-world symptoms, OEM DTCs, and MIL operation. It includes a functional DLC using SAE J1939 communication protocol and provides a platform to diagnose and troubleshoot fuel systems, diagnose and troubleshoot engine management systems, diagnose and troubleshoot electrical/electronic systems, obtain electronic parameters using diagnostic equipment, obtain technical data and information from the trainers through an electronic service tool connection, perform testing procedures of all electrical and mechanical systems, and allow users to exercise test procedures as outlined in OEM service manuals.
