American Automation Conference attendees will choose one of the two hands-on technical workshops listed below. These workshops will be complimented by a series of combined sessions presented at the opening of each day.
This hands-on workshop introduces the principles, selection, and practical use of electric actuators, with a focus on servo and stepper systems used in industrial automation and motion control. Through instructor-led discussion and applied exercises, attendees learn to approach common commissioning and troubleshooting issues with confidence. The course is designed for instructors who work with automated equipment and want a clear, application-based foundation in electric motion.
16 Hours // AUTOMATION WORKSHOP
Experience first-hand the future of collaborative welding robots. Using a Hirebotics Cobot Welder and the Beacon app, attendees learn how to set up a cell, hand-guide the torch with the Smart Puck, and teach linear, radial, tack, and stitch welds from a phone or tablet—without a traditional teach pendant or robot code. Designed for welding and advanced manufacturing instructors, the course emphasizes getting from a new part to a repeatable weld quickly so attendees can bring this exciting technology to their own training programs.
