The Allison Transmission 1000 Series Cutaway Trainer (EC-1106-01_052742) has been specifically designed for teaching heavy duty automatic transmission theory and operation. This cutaway has been strategically sectioned to allow students to visualize the internal transmission functions. The Allison 1000 series is a fully automatic torque converter driven, electronically controlled automatic transmission that is commonly used in trucks and light vehicles. It has neutral, reverse, and up to 6 forward speeds, with 5th and 6th gears being overdrive.
