ADAS (Advanced Driver Assist Systems) Training System

This exciting new trainer introduces the concepts of autonomous vehicle systems & Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS), including the AI systems responsible for autonomous (self-driving) vehicles. Discover how ADAS uses AI to perceive, interpret, and decide in real time under uncertainty with the EV-360. This trainer allows a student to visualize sensor readings and results, literally locating where the components are on a vehicle and compares the design, function, orientation, strengths, and weaknesses of the various sensors and technologies relative to one another.

Description

The ADAS (Advanced Driver Assist Systems) Training System (EV-360_053325) is an exciting new trainer designed for teaching the concepts of autonomous vehicle systems and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). It demonstrates the fundamental concepts and technologies incorporated in today’s advanced vehicles. This trainer allows students to visualize sensor readings and results, locate components on a vehicle, and compare the strengths and weaknesses of various sensors and technologies. Students act as the processor of sensor inputs to experience “sensor fusion,” interpreting information into desired outcomes or reactions. ADAS sensor calibration can be demonstrated, along with front camera object detection and identification. The system can be used alongside real vehicles to augment on-car learning. As a scale model, it provides visual cues of typical ADAS component locations, helping students recognize design, function, and orientation. It features a 10” x 6” tablet display with EXPLORE or DRIVE mode options, offering an overall view of a composite vehicle showing all ADAS sensors or individual views of each component’s live data operation.

Industry-Driven Features

  • Scale model providing visual cues of where most ADAS components are typically found on an actual vehicle, helping students recognize design function and orientation essential for industry
  • Allows overall view of a composite vehicle illustrating the location of all the ADAS sensors found in industry
  • Individual views of live data operation for front camera (adjustable), LiDAR (adjustable), front radar (adjustable), ultrasonic sensors (left/front non-adjustable), ultrasonic sensors (right/front non-adjustable), park/reverse/drive selector (adjustable), steering wheel angle calibration, driver presence (demonstrable), inertial measurement unit (adjustable), blind spot radar (left/side adjustable), blind spot radar (right/side adjustable), rear camera (adjustable), ultrasonic sensors (left/rear non-adjustable), and ultrasonic sensors (right/rear non-adjustable) to develop key industry skills
  • Demonstrates ADAS sensor calibration and front camera object detect/identification for real-world diagnostics on essential industry topics
  • Incorporates technologies similar to those used in modern trucks and buses, making it a realistic and relevant platform for training and development in heavy vehicle ADAS systems
  • Compares strengths and weaknesses of various sensors and technologies found in industry
  • Incorporates a 10” x 6” tablet display with EXPLORE or DRIVE mode viewing options required by industry
